This started out as an acoustic guitar instrumental, but, as Michelle notes, "This song resonated with me after I heard the tune by Graham. I heard the melancholy feeling with a hint of hope… We all need to forgive ourselves from failed expectations, believe in ourselves as God’s wonderfully and perfectly made beings and go out and “Seize the day”. I realized this was God’s message to us ALL. So simple… so profound! Yet not always easy."
The end result is a study in dynamics, ranging from wistful balladry to heavy rock, all in the space of under three minutes!

LYRICS
Remember the sunshine on the sand
As we walked you held my hand?
We were just kids
Now the time has passed
We've all grown up too fast
Where are we now?
CHORUS 1:
Seize the day
It's too short to throw away
Fight the pain
There's really no one to blame
BRIDGE:
Believe in yourself
Now you know I will fight for you
I will be there to see it through
With the moonlight in your eyes
Before we said goodbye
You just smiled
Remembering your warm embrace
As you drove away
You were loved
CHORUS 2:
Seize the day
It's too short to throw away
Forgive yourself
Tomorrow's a new day
Moonlight in your eyes
Sun on the sand
Seize the day
